I am a former volunteer Emt, fur Mama, parent and former sports coach for people with disabilities .
I have been healthcare for over 30 years now and love what I do in my career. Helping people is what brightens my days. If I can succeed with helping someone feel better, make them smile or ensure they have a awesome day then my day is complete. I am no mental health professional but I am knowledgeable about mental health as I have battled it and know how it feels not to feel ok. I have had minor training in my past in mental illnesses for adults and youth with my job and through EMS.
. I am a major advocate for mental health awareness, suicide prevention, breast cancer awareness, disability rights, autism and adhd awareness and most importantly Parkinson’a awareness . I also am a huge advocate for all first responders especially the blueline and police K9 community. I also am a huge advocate for our veterans and come from a milItary family.

I have been in emergency services for 15 years. I have worked in many different fields from Firefighting/EMT to Law Enforcement. I have spent most of my career on patrol as a Field Training Officer/Instructor. After retiring in 2021, I began a Journey to provide support and spread PTSD awareness using the skills, knowledge, and experience that I have gain in my many years working in emergency services. Due to the critical nature of my career I know first hand the impact PTSD and other mental health issues can have on, not only an individual, but on their families and the community as a whole. I sincerely hope to continue my efforts in encouraging and uplifting others like myself.
